Yes ok so there is one long list of places around Europe i would like to go and visit, mainly for photography purposes but also to experience the culture of the different cities, for example the language, food, music etc. So this is the first blog post on cities in europe i wish to visit. All cities have Street Photography potential and will come into my project
Prague, Czech Republic:
Bucket list for Prague is extensive, this city is pretty cheap for food, beer and the likes but the reason Prague is on my list is that it has huge amounts of potential in the way of Street Photography one photography genre i have always been interested in expanding my knowledge of. Not forgetting to add to that the amount of potential in the Architecture of the buildings such as churches, cathedrals and the gothic style structures and monuments. Plus also the beer is cheap.
Madrid like Prague for the Architecture of the cathedrals but also being the capital city of spain offers much more, from the football culture of Real Madrid, one of europe’s biggest football clubs. There is a range of museums and galleries that are worth a visit, especially if you are a art enthusiast. There are also places like the Royal Palace that are a must see, home of Spain royal family.
Nou Camp home of Barcelona Football club is pretty much the reason i would love to visit Barcelona. From Gaudi to Picasso this city has a range of museums and galleries worth the look around, a big city but is also worth having a travel round on foot to explore more of the city itself. There are also 4km of sandy beaches where you can spread out a towel to relax and take a dip in the Mediterranean sea. Would definitely be worth the visit.
Take in some of the sites of Milan, one of the worlds fashion capitals, like Barcelona, Madrid and Prague, some of the architecture is worth the wonder of the city and take in some of the fantastic views from the Duomo rooftop, climb 150 steps (or take a lift) to the rooftop of this gothic cathedral and take some of the 3,600 statues and 135 spires, many carved from pink Candoglia marble and get a closer view of the famous gilded copper ‘Madonnina’ atop the tallest spike. On a fine day, the view stretches far beyond the city to the snow-capped Alps. You can hop onto a tram in the city and have dinner, there is also some classic art galleries to visit and not forgetting the san siro, home to A.C Milan and Inter Milan Football clubs
The Capital of Germany, Berlin is another on my list of cities to visit, one of my main sites to look at in this city would be the Olympic Stadium which is a testimony of fascist architecture, built to be used for the 1936 Olympic games held in the city, it is also home to Hertha Berlin football club and hosted the 2006 world cup final. There are a range of galleries and museums to also visit and take in the culture of the numerous types of street food available. The city is also home to some of the best nightlife with a range of bars, Cabaret clubs and live music venues.
